I'm sorry that many people got killed because of Sanchez's stupidity, but as someone who used to run against him on the Coast, at least he won't be back causing those who run out there unneeded anxiety. There was another useless engineer employed by Amtrak in the late 90's that had nine lives. He had been fired repeatedly by Amtrak for various rules violations, only to continuously get his job back with back pay because of Amtrak's repeated stupidity in how they handled each dismissal. Almost everyone wanted to see him gone, but management constantly had their heads up their cabooses. You would think that after one reversal, they would have made darn sure all of their t's were crossed and i's dotted on the next case. But, then again, we are talking about Amtrak here.
