Hello Jack.
Edward Lawrence Carroll was head of the Audio-Visual department of the SP. He passed away over a decade ago on Christmas Day.
I am Edward Daniel Carroll, his son. If you look up "Dangerous Playground" on Youtube, I'm the little kid following the big kids into trouble.
I worked summers at the SP in the communications department: 65 Market St., 9th floor; Taylor Yard radio shop; and the radio shop at the foot of 7th St. in Oakland. I have a commercial radio license and the money was REALLY good for a college kid.
My brother David Carroll was an engineer with SP for quite a few years... and let's not get into my Grandfather, Mother etc.
By the way, my mother is 90 and still going strong.
