Ed D. I knew Ed L. in the late 60's as he was the camera man for a special project I had going on the WP. Sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I did not know of his demise.
Ed and I travelled over the WP system doing many rolls of film for the production of the WP film RAILROADING WITH SAFETY. I believe the film is still available from the WPRRHS in Portola.
I do not recall the particulars of how Ed was able to get away from the SP for the time it took to do the filming, editing and finally getting the voice over done.
Ed was a wonderful guy to work with and he certainly knew his railroading and film techniques.
