Too bad you guys weren't around back in May-1955. You could have ridden a 17-car excursion from Oakland to the depot at Lakeview, powered by a variety of SP steam and a Baldwin S-12 diesel switcher. Train included about six pullmans. Fare was $ 30.00 coach--$ 43.00 pullman.
