The Mojave Roundhouse was mentioned. All I can add here is that is shows up on a Saturday morning slide in early 1967 of a train just entering the yard off of the Creal Branch. I never thought to get closer and shoot just the structure. "Youth is wasted on the young".

Saturday mornings were also spent hunting jackrabbits out by Cantil. I did think one time to bring the camera along and caught a single SD-9 with an ashcan headlight leading her short train back to Mojave. They were moving along pretty good too.
