They core drilled all the single track sections of the lakeside sub a couple years ago, so it's been in the works at least that long. The Fish Lake (Lakeside Jct) - Anderson Rd section may be one of the last parts to be double track, as it will require a fair amount of blasting and fill work, as well as new bridge over the UP and SP&S trail. The real bottlenecks on the line are currently Fish Lake - Babb, Fishtrap - Sprague, Paha - Sand, and Cunningham - Connell through Hatton Coulee. Most are easy, but Hatton Coulee will be a huge earth moving project.
