I once did, and for me it comes to some 1,500 miles, although this doesn't include any terminals other than when on the main lines.

No, quite a number of us are, including some in the FRA.

When Unlimited Parking first took over, in its infinite wisdom and sagacity it had plans to have only one xbd out of Sac (may have been only one pool board, can't quite recall exactly), and from this you might be called to work to SPX, FNO, SJ, Oak, Duns, etc. No telling how soon you would make the next trip over the same territory. Fortunately Usually Parked listened to more experienced [SP] people and didn't implement this rather addle-pated plan.
