Interesting to note, two bridges visible in the archival photo still exist. The 101 freeway absorbed the wide arched bridge over the LA River and the E. Cesar Chavez Ave (Brooklyn Ave)over the I-10 (San Berdoo Fwy) looks the same with 3 bays. Does this photo predate Union Station? I see no evidence of it. With the 75th anniversary of Union Station approaching, some simple math would date the photo pre 1938. The automobiles look 1940s style. Or, is Union Station just out of view?
