The picture is awesome. But the date, July 1971, simply blew me away man. During that month, a very hot and humid time in the nation’s capital, both weather-wise and politics, my future wife and I were ticketed for j-walking around the White House because we were protesting the WAR in Vietnam. It was one of the busiest month for DCPD and other law enforcement authorities due to the fact that hundreds of thousands young and old stupid people like my wife and I stormed the streets to tell Mr. Nixon how badly he miscalculated public trust.
