J & M Hobby House and Locoboose -- still open! :)_

It is, indeed, very sad that Francisco Hobbies
is closing. That will be a great loss. However:
there is good news, as a couple of local hobby
stores on the San Francisco Peninsula are still
going strong! b:)

1. J & M Hobby House in San Carlos:
1660 Laurel St., San Carlos, CA 94070
This is located south of the downtown area
in a beautiful 1937 Streamline Moderne building.
(I am omitting their phone number to protect them
from spambots, which crawl the web and harvest phone
numbers and e-mail addresses.)

2. Loco-Boose Electric Train Shop
260 Main St, Redwood City, CA 94063
This is strictly an electric-powered model train store,
not a true hobby shop. They are alive and well. :)
(Not posting phone number to protect them from spambots.)

I am pleased as punch that both these businesses are still going
strong, especially after the very sad news of Franciscan's closing.
Hobby and model train stores give personal service that a person
just cannot get on the internet.

I am not a modeler myself -- I prefer 12 inches to the foot (LOL!).
I wanted to share the good news that some hobby shops and model train
stores are still alive and well. :)

Margaret
