The tricky thing about the SI, or UP north of Spokane, is that there can be as many as two manifests south and two north each day, plus potash and grain trains along with their empties, but not always in daylight. Today, a nice sunny Sunday, there are only two UP trains on the radar for north Idaho: a southbound called for 9am at Eastport, and a northbound that's due out of Spokane around mid-day. Other days, you can have as many six or more trains (plus locals) in daylight on the SI, depending on the time of year/hours of sunlight.
