Was the train going into the south railhead, or was it continuing north to Lakewood?

Having power on each end would enable the train to reverse at Lakewood and go down the old Prairie Line through McChord Field to the north railhead by the logistics center.

The line that runs past the north railhead at Lewis was once a through route that rejoined the Seattle-Portland main at Tenino. It is still used as far south as Roy, which is served by a BNSF local.

From Yelm south to Tenino, the old ROW is now a rail-trail.
