It'd be great to achieve this level of transit connectivity throughout the Bay Area, but given the, uh, peculiarities and expense of the BART technology, I do not see any advantage to having all of these lines served by BART. A number of these routes will probably need to be shared by passenger and freight trains for a long time to come.

Which of these routes do we suppose should be the next to receive new or improved commuter rail services?
