Maybe so, my HOA prohibits outside antennae, a fact made clear before I moved in; a dish type network is acceptable.
Two things...
1. the court cost of litigating this HOA restriction is beyond my pocketbook and
2. from what I have read, digital over the air signals degrade rapidly beyond some 20/40 miles from the transmitter.
