OBP's UP rant makes more sense to me than most of the general dismissals of the TP situation. I was not aware a bid for the line by BNSF was involved. I've been peripherally involved with several situations over the years that UP (SP was similar in some respects) was part of. Most could best be described as illogical in isolation, but logical from the standpoint of a very large railroad that does what it wants to do, and doesn't ask for or accept much discussion.
