If we are to put ourselves in the mindset of folks who "don't want trains of Baken crude to run past their homes or businesses", then what else would they not want to be carried on RR's past their backyards, or on highways past their front yards, or in pipelines under their yards? Gasoline? Diesel fuel? LPG? Polyvinyl Chloride? Molten Sulfur? Sulfuric Acid? Ethanol? What of the businesses that actually use these products? What of the people and businesses that expect electricity (produced by burning nasty old coal) to come on when they flip the switch? Clearly some level of reasonable accommodation must be reached rather than simply opposing the carriage of anything "hazardous" anywhere near "me".............this is getting ridiculous.
