Very cool Stan!

There are women interested in railroading. Ever meet "The Winterail Goddess" Annie Neves? How about some of her friends? How about professional photographers/editors Cinthia Priest and Mary Busse? All unfortunately already married. Others include Amtrak Condr M.A. Draper who has a Santa Fe heritage, and was a Santa Fe Attorney, Santa Fe/BNSF Engr E.G. Townsend, Trainmaster Dispr N.A. Myrow, Chief Dispr G. Davis, to name a few others who happen to already be taken/married, but great rails. I know several other fans, and railroad employees who met their wives on passenger trains. There are a number of nice women working for Amtrak too, who like to ride trains, even know of a couple of modelers among them. Every enjoy Shirley Burman or Bonnie Adam's railroad photography?

Back to the original post: Hope "the authorities" did not overly discourage those female photographers, just discouraged them from any unsafe activities. Just about everyone gets to learn sometime, by being confronted trackside, even if they were not doing anything unsafe.

Personally I want to meet more women just like the ones mentioned above. Sometimes I believe they are all at car shows, and air shows, possibly because some were made to feel unwelcome at railroad events, by the guys.

Saw license plate frames and lettering which reads; "Silly boys, trucks are for girls." Maybe Women in Railroading will make some that read; "Silly boys, trains are for girls." [www.womeninrailroading.com]
