I strongly believe that the railfan community should open the "doors to their hobby"
to more people, period. A while back it was as if the hobby was for an elite group.
Now, I'm not saying that everyone who was into the hobby at that time was that way.
Between the reluctance to welcome railfans who were interested in the newer equipment
and rebuilding/restoration of equipment it nearly did the hobby in.
We need to get more people of all types into it.
