To Glen Icanberry

I dont know if you saw my post on the old board, but I wanted to express my compliments to you for your photography which was a part of Phil Serpico's "Jawbone" book on this remote branch of the old SP. In particular the winter photo of the nearly abandoned and lifeless Lone Pine depot and yard, which to me spoke so eloquently of many elements that make up a superior photo. The shadows of clouds against the background mountains, the empty boxcars and gondola on several of the yard tracks all had a powerful effect. To me this one image was worth purchasing the book for.
