For the record only the "GO Transit" cars are a different voltage (575v). Metrolink used some GO cars at startup until they go more deliveries of their own cars and again after one of the earthquakes. Because of the voltage thing they needed APU's in the form of former F-units.
Maybe your freind is color blind and can't tell the difference of green (GO) from blue (Coaster).
