That would be a great idea. Unfortunately, it would also cost a ton of money to build a structure across the road, around the island, across the parking lot, and make some kind of direct connection into the terminal building. Suspect that SMART wouldn't want to use the money for that if it would otherwise buy them more track, like, say, extension to Healdsburg. Funny, though, if they actually get enough traffic to significantly feed the ferry, it might be necessary to do something like that to make it operate OK - rail terminal facilities in the EIR didn't look like they expected a lot of people to use it.
