Lower gas prices will expand retail as more people have more money to spend on other things besides fuel. It will put pressure on railroad intermodal as it will be easier for truck lines to put their trailers back on the road should rail service fail to meet time deadlines. Overall, it should stimulate the economy for the better (econ 101).
