Hours of service in the USA

The mention about the hours of service brought back the memories of the try the SP made in the late 60s or early 70s.

Well, they decided that hours worked in Mexico, SD&AE, were not subject to the USAs hour of service law. They were making crews work sometimes 20+ hours by taking away the time they spent in Mexico.

Well, they didn't get away with it for very long but it was a new approach in trying to break the law.
