I actually know of a good location for a museum in West Pittsburg, if anyone here knows anyone on GGRM's board. The former Sacramento Northern mainline, complete with "wye" track and sidings, as well as several miles of straight track, is still intact in West Pittsburg. Although technically still owned by UP, they don't use it for anything and may be willing to part with it. There is also a connection to both the UP Tracy Sub (former SP Mococo line) and the BNSF Stockton Sub. It hasn't had any cars on it for years, and the tracks would require some work. Boarding could be done along Port Chicago Highway. Another suggestion would be to relay the tracks that were pulled up from their current terminous back into the City of Pittsburg. I'm sure Pittsburg would LOVE to have a tourist draw such as the GGRM. I'll post a Google satellite image tomorrow with the area I'm suggesting.
