It is unknown if the engine could actually pull Tacoma Hill, the conversion to oil was not done properly and it never really fully steamed. Two oil burners for building furnaces were installed and even together they were not nearly large enough to fire the engine working hard. I just hope the ill fated conversion wasn't done in a way to prevent it from being converted properly or in a way to prevent it from being converted back to coal.
