Monday a group of us at the ORHC were wondering what the three news channel trucks were doing across the tracks.....getting home we found out. I find it VERY interesting that my city, yes I live in Portland, has selected this site without having a conversation with either the neighborhood organization or the neighbors. Moving the R2D2 homeless camping site in the Pearl District to this site does NOT solve the Portland homeless problem and it is a problem. I await and will pressure for a solution; camping anywhere one pleases is NOT ok.
What are other cities doing to solve this problem????
I also don't think the homeless are doing the graffiti vandalism but boy do they generate a LOT of trash
