Wow, this latest conspiracy by evil Thomas, to put in 9 miles of two track for a mere $45 million, sure has some of the whackier elements all abuzz.
I'm going to have to agree with some of the folks who aren't whacky, like 99 and OPRRMS, that this actually looks like a pretty good idea, given future needs, and growth projections.
Imagine well planned, cost effective improvements in our rail passenger networks, serving some of the most congested freeway corridors in America....
Or, imagine Evil Thomas, and his dubious ilk, destroying everything we hold dear.....?
All of these museum groups have way bigger problems than this, with an aging population of volunteers and donors, and no realistic business plans to sustain, maintain, or operate these collections for future generations..... Now that is something to worry about.
