On July 22, 1992, UP 3985 was pulling a special train back from the NRHS convention in San Jose, CA.

We stopped and unloaded for a photo runby going over Altamont Pass. Some chasers set up their equipment in a location which would have been right in the middle of our photos (a nice long curve on a fill). We all yelled at them to move, but they ignored us.

The Union Pacific special agents accompanying us arrested them for trespassing. We got our photos.
