We had a case years ago of a trespasser in a rail yard that was arrested by our company police for stealing metal and trespassing.
When we got in court the judge was going to let the guy go. Our company attorney pleaded with the judge to no avail. Then our attorney said," judge, when you get home this evening our boy here will be in your back yard stealing your patio furniture." The judge, who thought stealing alittle metal from a rail yard sure changed his tune when the guy was in his back yard.
It's all about private property. The guy got 90 days!
