For the readers here not familiar with Seattle tunnel project


This project is already over budget (sorry I don't have the number) and as mentioned, years behind schedule.

Many have predicted the Seattle project will be the West Coast version of the "Boston Big Dig" project.

WA State Dept of Transportation has already filed a lawsuit again Tunnel Partners as there are going to be claims for the additional costs. So litigation will happen as well.

Yes another Cluster **** in Seattle. While Sound Transit is coming in under budget on the most current tunnel, their costs were over budget on the original project to Sea Tac Airport.

Tacoma has a 1.5 mile Light Rail line "The rail line to nowhere" is what it's called. It was originally going to cost 30 million; it ended up almost 80 million. It was free to ride as well; Sound Transit said it would "Cost too much" to put in a fare collection system on the trains.

The Pierce County Transit agency was getting funds to run buses in same area along with side streets, dropping employees off in front of their buildings. Now, most walk three or four blocks; some of the areas not very safe.
