I thought the original op-ed that Walter refers to was much better.

Walter's didn't make any sense. He jumps back and forth between SMART and the NCRA
impacts without being clear that the public won't separate
them, because of the many connections between NCRA and SMART
that have documented by others.

SMART is trying to distance itself from the freight proposal.
It's not going to work. SMART and NCRA are now in an unhappy marriage,
but a marriage for sure.
