Jeffrey Weeks, general manager of the Santa Cruz Monterey Bay Railway, said he anticipates expanding freight service, now concentrated in Watsonville, to North County. The railway company, which operates the annual Train to Christmas Town, also is considering other excursion and tourist train ventures, as well as regular passenger service.

SCMB is going on their fourth year now as operator, how long does it take to figure out what you are going to do? Obviously the RTC has given up hope on their "operator" and is ready to contract with others like RailBike and Rail Tours to get something moving on the North end of the line.
