I just read (okay, quickly scanned) the W&I article in the Whitman County Gazette. In it, Stan hopes for a 10 fold increase in grain tonnage being hauled, give or take.
My question: What is the historic high tonnage of grain that was shipped on this line during NP/BN days?
It seems that with WATCO still running on the ex-UP lines and the Snake River barge service still going strong, there may be a lot of competition for hauling that grain.
