Where was the Emeryville Yard? Any remnants today? I just finished the Reno Fun Train season (8 round-trips) and enjoyed some local history in and around the area (I'm from SoCal). Stopped by the underground "tunnel" by Target that I understand was used by the streetcars. Enjoyed a couple "finds" on third street by the Amtrak yard ... a former WP crossbuck now used as a stop sign, plus on a side street, two Burlington RR "flexivans" "hidden" away as storage units. I walked over to the remnants of the Garden City (which always intrigued me from aboard train) and also was amazed by the over 100 year old cement warehouse at Port Costa. The Crockett depot and the C&H sugar plant were also cool "up close". The SP Oakland depot is a heart breaker. All the industrial trackage between West Oakland and Emeryville (used or abandoned) was fascinating.
