Thank you and everyone involved at the Nevada State
Railroad Museum for all the great work you all are
doing on the UP 844. I had no idea that Armour Yellow
had changed over the years, or that so had HarborMist
Grey. Fascinating! (Reminds me of when Kyle Wyatt came
to the GGRM when we were in Hunters Point and gave a
seminar on how to properly discover and document previous
paint colors and paint schemes on old railroad equipment.
That was very interesting.)

FWIW ---
The GGRM's H 12-44 -- the ex-US Army #1847 -- came from
the Hawthorne Army Depot in Nevada. She has been renumbered
as the SP 1487 and painted in an appropriate SP paint scheme,
and is fully operational, and has been used in excursions in
Niiles Canyon.
