The Tower at CLINTON which most of you railfans have probably never seen before, was controlled by the Southern Pacific. CLINTON Tower contained a 24-Lever, GRS electric Interlocking machine. It had control of 15 Signals as well as 14 Derails and Switches..
Originally, it was Mechanical. It lasted from 1909 to 1941...
The Tower at MELROSE was controlled by the Western Pacific and was Mechanical in nature.
May have been changed over to electric interlocking--but not sure.
Stonehurst Tower: NEVER heard of such a Tower, ever !
