Do Metrolink engines have forward facing cameras in the cab or a camera focused on the engineer?
I assume they have a black box incident recorder that could tell if the brakes were applied.
I assume some passengers on the train would be interviewed by media or investigators and say either I could feel emergency brakes applied or we suddenly slammed into something
Maybe there are security cameras on a nearby building facing the tracks that captured the event...
In general when there's an accident or crime like a shooting people witness it from different angles so they sincerely believe what they saw and say... one person might say the northbound car ran a red light another could say it's the westbound.
Others don't see the actual event but they here a crash and make a judgement based on what they see after the fact so we should wait for an investigation to be completed before jumping to conclusions about what actually happened.
