What's the use of those "communication" whistle signals in an environment with short fixed consists and passenger operation?
Just wondering…
The closest to that for me is a short ring with the bell on the streetcar when starting from a stop. However, this is the rule only in one or two cities I remember; in all other cities, the operator rings the bell only if needed.
