There is even talk of using recycled waste water in the Spokane area. When the BNSF fuel depot became a crisis the underground water supply became a crisis too, not just from pollution, but from usage as well. Spokane county is studying forcing water conservation as is the city of Spokane. Idaho has a group, I think headquartered in Post Falls, that wants to protect the water supply from over use in case it might run out---didn't Post Falls pass some sort of water restrictions too??--- One of the reasons that BNSF isn't interested in relocating the Interbay Shops to Hauser (a more logical choice) is due to the underground water issue---they feel that they are at the limit of what local governments will allow over the water supply. That's why, when and if, Interbay is moved, it will be moved to Pasco.
