Again assertions of innuindo are being made here to what happened between me and the UP Steam Crew in Roseville. The UP Steam Team should have the professional public relations skill to deal with the public and more often than not they do and even if they get hounded they should expect to be by the public because operating a Steam Locomotive on a Class 1 railroad is uncommon occurance in todays railroading and gets such excessive attention from railroad fans like me. Unfortunately, there is aparently a one member or two lacks those important social skills on the Steam Team with Mr. Steve Lee being excluded from that accusation personally of course.
I have noticed that many of you responding posters seem to have an obsession with my encounter with the UP Steam Crew and seem to be over emphasizing that situation as a simplistic "one issue" form of personal attack against my credibility through such grandstanding. What about the other issues such as the concern for those unfortunate passengers with me on the Feather River Express that got "siding ridden" or the poor on time performance of the Amtrak Trains on UP Trackage? Is this the only issue that most of you posters are concern with.
Of course UP is primarily a frieght railroad but I would still argue they should have the consideration for the public's interest and keep their Steam Program and respect the needs to expidite the passenger movements on their trackage.
