Cars A Night

Jeff,
You always say X number of cars per night. First of all I'm amazed at your knowledge of the NWP and thank you for sharing. I am curious why you say per "night" when relating the cars these mills put out. Did the locals all run at night? Did any of them get switched twice a day or were they too far flung for any yard job to make two trips to them? I'm speaking now of all the mills north on the north end).

Also, have you written an NWP book yet? I'm assuming one might be in the works at some point?
