You're right, Roger. Watco is not the word we wanted to hear, considering what they've done elsewhere around here. They appear to have done well on some lines, but not so on others. Which makes me wonder: traffic out of Lewiston has dropped off immensely from a year or two ago. Not necessarily Watco's fault, what with the lumber market decline, and the fact that fertilizer traffic coming up to Central Ferry doesn't really kick in for a few more weeks. But I remember the Ayer Turn dragging 70 to 100 cars east about a year or so ago. The past few weeks, he's been leaving Ayer with less than 20 cars on most occasions, and at least once he came home light engine due to UP not leaving anything at Ayer and BNSF's Low Line not arriving on time.
