Re: SP Trainmasters (the locomotives)

Sorry, Ken, but I do not remember SP's Trainmasters,
although I do have a faint memory of riding behind
one long ago as a commuter. I did not become a
railfan until the mid-1970s, by which time the SP
had gotten rid of all of those wonderful locomotives.
As a commuter. I used the beautiful and impressive
station at Third and Townsend 5 days a week, but I
did not pay any attention to it -- it was just a place
on my way to and from work.

I really wish a few SP Trainmasters had been saved, and
were operating. I would love to hear their sounds, which
are supposed to be very, very impressive, and I would love
to ride behind one a few times to experience their fantastic
acceleration.
