Washington State Normal School was founded in 1891; became Central Washington College of Education in 1947. Our historians may now enter the arrival of the Milwaukee Road.

The railroad's route thru the campus was very obvious when I toured the school grounds several years ago. Has all evidence of the alignment been obliterated or is it still easy to find?

Any readers remember steam locomotives thru the campus?
