BART may be "Ugly" but what would things be like without it? You want to talk homely equipment? Santa Clara's light rail cars hurt to look at! At least they use the PCC style resilient wheels for quieter operation. LA has been dying for a "working" transit system ever since the PE ceased operation, it's no wonder that the Gold line is so successful. Southern California was built by rail transit. One "Blimp" could easily take 80 cars of the road in a zero emission manner.
