Regarding driverless autos, what many have failed to realize ( or speak of ) is the simple fact that they have to run at slower speeds, lest the prevailing conditions ( traffic, weather, pedestrians, bicycles, baby carriages ) overwhelm the onboard computer and GPS systems. Imagine what a stream of driverless cars, running at even 5 MPH slower than currently experienced, will do to YOUR commute.
Regarding commuter trolley vs. commuter rail -- WHAT A PLEASANT PROBLEM TO HAVE !!! In my 30+ years as a native and resident of SoCal before moving to Puget Sound in 1995, I NEVER thought this day would come.
