With them being located in Schellville they could do trips and never have to go on the SMART tracks except for possibly using the wye at Ignacio. There is a wye in Schellville, one at Ignacio and one at Lombard. Assuming that they are in service they can focus their trips only on a Schellville to Ignacio turn or a Schellville to Lombard turn. That will keep them off SMART tracks.

The bigger question is if they will get permission from SMART and the NWP to do operations. I haven't heard anything about any work being done to start building their secure storage. Maybe it's hinged on if they get their permissions in place. If they can't run then why move to Schellville.
