Not enough freight traffic to justify the huge cost to rebuild from Redwood Valley to Willits .Forget it.
Redwood Empire lumber mill at Asti could provide up to three hundred carloads a year . This might make it profitable to rebuild to Cloverdale . Other than repairing the river crossing at Healdsburg there are no huge costly repairs to rebuild to Cloverdale
Ukiah - Redwood Valley Has an even larger active lumber mill. Mendocino Forest Products.It could provide up to five hundred carloads a year.
This would be a huge investment with four tunnel needing some repair and one completely collapsed. Along with small slides and slip outs along the Russian River canyon

Even the NCRA has given up hope of ever rebuilding to Eureka. So get over it .
