To answer Sam's question regarding the Port Board, today a special meeting was held to appoint two commissioners to fill the vacancies. They are John Ficher, a long time dairyman and Joe Meyer, who had been appointed to the board in the past.

Additionally, the Environmental and Engineering Analysis that is being done at this time and due September 15, 2008 is being funded 75% by FEMA and 25% by the State through the Oregon Economic and Community Development Department.
