Speaking of "friends of Russell", someone with that name who identified himself as being from Las Vegas, NV posted on a website concerning neighbors' issues with the proposed CN-EJ&E merger:

If the CN deal falls through the Pacific Rim Railroad is negotiating to purchase the EJE. The Pacific Rim will rebuild the Milwaukee Road line across the Rockies to connect Humbolt Bay to Chicago.

Apparently he's cluttering up more message boards than just this one with his fantasy railroad. I second the idea of a Russell filter.
